Restoring natural stream channel, removing sediment buildup, and eliminating blockages to allow water to flow freely. Planting creek banks with indigenous plants to mitigate erosion. This is an ongoing project.
With the creek back in its natural banks, it allows Andosol soils to be spread on a joining flat. Planting of fruit trees this winter and spring reduces soil erosion and contributes to carbon sequestration, improving air quality and mitigating climate change.
